Poshan Abhiyan

Aim:

• To raise awareness on importance of nutrition among people to ensure health and nutrition for everyone.
• To address the problem of malnutrition or under nutrition among young children and women

Activities undertaken:

• Training on capacity development of Anganwadi workers.
• Establishment of Nutrition Garden at Anganwadi Kendras.
• Development and formulation of Nutri-thali.
• Demonstration on weaning food for children.
• Value addition of locally available fruits and vegetables.
• 100 packets of seeds provided by IFFCO were distributed among Anganwadi workers.
• Rally to generate awareness about nutrition.
• Various competitions like quiz, recipe contest, etc.
• Display of nutri thali for different age groups and different ethnic communities.
